About Us

Dr. Christina Shaw completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the University of California, Davis, obtaining a degree in Biology. She graduated dental school from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Coming from a program that emphasized the importance of interprofessional education, Dr. Shaw is looking forward to collaborating with the various health professionals that Great Grins Dental works closely with to provide the most comprehensive care for the patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, and American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Shaw and her husband recently relocated to Austin in March of 2014 and are excited to start this new journey. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants and following her favorite Bay Area sports teams. Go Giants!

Dr Imperial, his wife Carol, and their children Josh, Luke and Jake, reside in the Austin area. After growing up in Lake Jackson, TX, Dr. Imperial received his bachelor's degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. In 1989, he started at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School where he graduated in 1993. After practicing in Austin for three years, he opened Great Grins Dental in 1996. He enjoys spending time with his family,photography and wants to eventually get back to tennis, cycling and running.
